BRIEF HISTORY
In the late 1800’s the Club was located on property which is now Alumni Field on Arch Street. It was primarily a social and dining association, with limited golf. The 1913 roster lists committees for supper, golf, baseball, music, and afternoon tea.
A new Clubhouse and nine-hole golf course were constructed at the present location in 1924. In 1931 nine more holes were completed. In 1946 the organization was incorporated as Keene Country Club, Inc.
Timberview dining room was built in 1976 and the Club was open year round for the first time. Both the old clubhouse (the Ballroom) and Timberview were renovated and refurbished in 1988.
In 2000 Timberview was once again updated and renovated with the addition of a screened in porch. With this renovation, Timberview is used for dining for members. The old clubhouse (the Ballroom) is used primary for the catering of social and business functions.
