The Keene Country Club provides two fine courts for use by all tennis buffs. The tennis facilities are located beside the pool area, which is convenient for players who feel the need to keep a watchful eye on their children. It also has a view of the 9th green and fairway, and offers outstanding scenery during the foliage season.
The Club has an excellent Tennis Professional to supervise, guide and teach you and your family. Group lessons are available for children of all ages throughout the summer and are included at no additional charge. There are many tournaments scheduled during the season.
New Tennis Professional at Keene Country Club
Hello Keene Country Club Members –
The Board of Directors is happy to announce that Marcia Jansen, PTR has joined the Country Club as our New Tennis Professional. Some of you may know that Cali Bowman, our former Tennis Professional, accepted a full time year round position in South Carolina. Although this is a great opportunity for Cali, she will be greatly missed here at Keene Country Club.
Marcia Jansen attained her PTR rating through the USTA, a recognized designation for tennis professionals. Marcia is certified to teach all ages and skill levels including the Quickstart program for children 5 to 10 year old.
With degrees is Physical Education and Movement, Marcia has a keen ability for analyze tennis strokes and to teach and to encourage players to be more successful. A strong competitor and athlete, Marcia plays singles, doubles and mixed doubles in USTA league teams.
Marcia’s passion for the sport is summed up with her daily mantra, “Any day with tennis is a GREAT Day.”
